Property Valuation
Formal valuations of residential property are more accurate and are consequently more readily accepted by district valuers, who advise government departments such as Inland Revenue on matters of property value for capital gains tax, inheritance tax, etc. Where there are disputes, a formal valuation is generally more acceptable and this can be developed into an expert witness report if the need arises.
Solicitors should note that Mike Tibbatts is a RICS registered valuer and is licensed to carry out ‘Red Book Valuations’, including valuations for charities (S36 – Charities Act 1993).
